How we teach
At Executive Watersports, we believe the best learning is hands-on. Beginners start with on-deck training on the pontoon boat, where we teach the basics of waterskiing or wakeboarding, based on the camper’s ability and comfort level. From there, the instructor gets in the water with the camper, helping them get up by holding onto their life jacket during the first lap.Once they’re confidently riding, the instructor lets go, allowing the camper to ride independently. Most beginners are up and riding on their own within a lap or two, after which we work on crossing wakes and learning simple tips and tricks.
For intermediate and advanced riders, instructors focus on demonstration and technique, showing how to perform tricks and offering quick adjustments to help campers progress. On-deck training is also used for certain skills to ensure everything is dialed in before hitting the water. Our goal is simple: safe progression, confidence, and an authentic Lake Austin experience.
